Jeffrey Lucas, CPA, CFA
Chief Financial Officer
Jeffrey Lucas is the Chief Financial Officer of Bitfarms, overseeing financial strategy, capital allocation, and growth initiatives. With over 30 years of international experience across technology, manufacturing, and financial services, he has a proven track record in corporate finance, M&A, and capital restructuring.
Before joining Bitfarms in 2021, Jeffrey was Managing Director at Mackinac Partners, a national restructuring firm. He previously served as President and CFO of eMagin Corporation and held CFO and Board Director roles at Transfreight Group, GPX International Tire Corporation, Micro Networks Corporation and DS Waters of America. Earlier in his career, he worked in high-yield investment banking, institutional money management, and public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers .
Jeffrey holds a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University, an M.B.A. in Finance from Harvard Business School and studied at the London School of Economics. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Liam Wilson
Chief Operating Officer
Liam Wilson is an operations executive with over 20 years of leadership and operational management experience. As Chief Operating Officer at Bitfarms, he oversees the company’s business initiatives and daily operations. With deep expertise in the energy sector, he has successfully executed transactions totaling more than 900 MW of power across key U.S. markets, driving the development and operation of high-performance teams and facilities.
Before joining Bitfarms, Liam served as Chief Operating Officer at Mawson Infrastructure Group Inc., where he led all global business activities focusing on the US and PJM in particular. Liam has also held senior management roles at EVT Hospitality and Entertainment and The Whitehouse Group.
Philippe Fortier
Executive Vice President, Corporate Development
Philippe Fortier leads Bitfarms’ strategic growth initiatives, focusing on the development of data centers, business acquisitions, and expansion opportunities. With expertise in corporate finance, M&A, capital raising, and financial strategy, Philippe brings a wealth of experience to his role.
Before joining Bitfarms in 2022, Philippe served as a corporate finance and investment advisor to a variety of public and private clients. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at National Bank Financial Markets and in private equity at BDG & Partners. Philippe began his career as an auditor with Deloitte.
Philippe is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.B.A. from HEC Montreal and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics.
Marc-André Ammann, CPA, CA
Senior Vice President, Finance & Accounting
Marc-André Ammann oversees finance and accounting at Bitfarms. With over 15 years of experience, he specializes in financial reporting, risk management, and fostering relationships with financial stakeholders.
Marc-André joined Bitfarms in 2022 as the Vice President of Finance and Accounting. Prior to joining Bitfarms, Marc-André was the Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller at Sharethrough, a global technology-enabled advertising exchange. He also held leadership roles in financial and regulatory reporting across the finance, technology and industrial sectors. Marc-André began his career as an auditor at a leading global accounting firm.
Marc-André holds a BAA in business administration, a DESS in public accounting from HEC Montréal, and is a licensed CPA Auditor and Chartered Accountant.
Alex Brammer
Senior Vice President, Global Mining Operations
Alex Brammer is an experienced senior leader in the digital asset space, with a track record of establishing and expanding infrastructure capacity, while improving power reliability and grid stability. His expertise in power markets, cryptocurrency, and digital mining strategy position him well to lead all operational aspects of Bitfarms’ global portfolio.
Prior to joining Bitfarms, Alex served as Senior Director of Digital Strategy and Asset Optimization for Talen Energy from 2022 to 2024, where he oversaw the strategy and management of information technology and operational technology network design and data center operations infrastructure. Before this, he served as Vice President of Business Development for Luxor Technology, where he established an ASIC trading desk and contributed to the early ideation of the company’s hashrate derivates product suites.
Alex began his career in the U.S. Army. He holds a B.S. in Economics from West Point, an M.A. from King’s College London, and a Ph.D. from Queen’s University Belfast. He is also a board director and treasurer for the Bitcoin Today Coalition, advocating for Bitcoin policy at the federal level.
Tracy Krumme
Senior Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications
Tracy Krumme leads Bitfarms’ engagement with investors and analysts, managing communications, corporate messaging, and market positioning to drive shareholder value. She brings over 30 years of experience in investor relations, financial communications, and investment banking. With a strong reputation and proven track record, she drives strategic initiatives that enhance Bitfarms’ market presence and global visibility.
Prior to joining Bitfarms, Tracy led investor relations at several public companies, including PPD, Inc. (now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.), Nuance Communications Inc. (now part of Microsoft Corp.), Luxoft (now part of DXC Technology Company), and NCR Corp. She most recently led the pre-IPO process at Galderma SA (Zug, Switzerland) and has held positions as an equity research analyst at Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P., an investment strategist at Prudential Securities, and an investment banker at Kidder, Peabody International in London.
She attended Denison University for her undergraduate degree and attended the Syracuse International Finance program in London.
Andrea Keen
Vice President, Human Resources
Andrea Keen is an HR leader with over 20 years of experience in talent management across technology, energy, infrastructure, and healthcare. At Bitfarms, Andrea has helped strengthen recruiting, training, and retention strategies to support the company’s growth.
Prior to joining Bitfarms in January 2022, Andrea served in corporate human resource leadership positions across Canada, the United States and Latin America, most recently as Head of Talent and Culture at EQ Care/Telus Health. Andrea began her career in marketing at a UK-based law firm.
Andrea earned her B.Comm. from Mount Allison University and received an MBA from the University of São Paulo. She holds Canadian and U.S. professional human resources designations and is a Certified Coach from Concordia University.
Rachel Silverstein
General Counsel, North America
Rachel Silverstein is Bitfarms’ U.S. General Counsel specializing in digital asset transactions, including commercial agreements, mergers, acquisitions, and energy deals. With over 16 years of experience, Rachel oversees all legal affairs in the US and advises on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and strategic initiatives.
Prior to Bitfarms, Rachel co-founded Firm 21m, a law firm dedicated to representing Bitcoin miners, energy companies, and investors, and has led transactions totaling more than a gigawatt across multiple states and countries. Before her time at 21m, Rachel held the positions of General Counsel at CleanSpark, Inc. from 2020 to 2023, and Corporate Counsel at Zappos, among others.
Rachel earned a bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University and a juris doctorate degree from William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
Damian Polla
General Manager, LATAM Operations
Damian Polla is responsible for overseeing Bitfarms’ operations and strategic initiatives across Latin America. With extensive expertise in project finance and infrastructure investment, he has played a key role in the development and expansion of Bitfarms’ LATAM projects.
Prior to joining Bitfarms, Damian served as Corporate Finance Director at Molino Cañuelas Sacifia, a leading South American food products supplier, where he managed financial strategy and capital structuring from 2018 to 2021. Before that, he was Head of Project Finance at Haitong, specializing in complex financial transactions across the energy and infrastructure sectors. He began his career in investment banking, holding roles at BNP Paribas and other global financial institutions.
Damian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington College and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Paul Magrath
Vice President, Taxation
Paul Magrath leads global tax strategy and sustainability initiatives at Bitfarms with over 25 years of experience in finance, ensuring compliance with Canadian and international tax laws.
Before his tenure at Bitfarms, Paul served as Senior Finance Director of Taxation at Huawei Technologies from 2017 to 2022. He began his career serving in leadership roles at several companies, including Deloitte & Touche, Unilever and AstraZeneca. He has been a member of the Tax Executives Institute, an organization that helps companies to navigate the evolving global tax environment, for over two decades, and is a current member of the Canadian Income Tax Committee.
Paul is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a B.A. in Accounting and Finance and a B.A. in Economics from York University.
Guillaume Reeves
Vice President, Information Technology
Guillaume leads Bitfarms’ digital operations, driving the adoption of industry best practices and scaling infrastructure to support the company’s long-term strategy. A key member of Bitfarms’ programming team since its inception in 2017, he brings extensive expertise in information technology systems and operational efficiency.
Guillaume began his career at Bitfarms’ predecessor company as a Senior DevOps Engineer. Prior to that, he held software programming roles at Keystream Information Systems, a digital consulting firm, and VF Power Technologies, a company specializing in solar and EV charger installations.
Jeff Gao, CFA
Vice President, Risk Management & Optimization
Jeff Gao leads Bitfarms’ market operations, focusing on digital assets investment strategies and optimizing the company’s bitcoin portfolio and the deployment of its risk capital. With a strong background in quantitative finance and energy markets, his team develops market-oriented solutions to enhance infrastructure value and provide risk mitigation through Bitfarms’ trading and hedging programs.
Previously, Jeff served as the CEO of Cypherpunk Holdings, a publicly traded company focused on cryptocurrency and cryptography investments. His prior experience includes quantitative modelling and engineering roles with energy and infrastructure companies, including United Energy and Multinet Gas, Wilson Transformer Company, and CETEC.
Jeff holds a B.A. in Commerce and Information Systems from the University of Melbourne, as well as bachelor’s degrees in physics and electrical engineering and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Monash University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Craig Hibbard
Senior Vice President of Infrastructure
Craig Hibbard is the Senior Vice President of Infrastructure at Bitfarms, bringing over 20 years of experience in real estate, digital infrastructure, and property development. In his role, he leverages his expertise to drive strategic growth, operational efficiency, and market expansion, ensuring Bitfarms remains at the forefront of innovation. His ability to align business objectives with emerging opportunities makes him instrumental in optimizing assets and enhancing long-term value.
Previously, Craig served as General Manager at Iris Capital, where he led business development, asset management, and financial strategy, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. Prior to his time at Iris, Craig was Director of Retail Leasing at Property Partnership Australia, spearheading market expansion strategies and managing key relationships with Investa, Brookfield, and Mirvac, among others. Throughout his career, Craig has built and mentored high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
With deep expertise in property development, infrastructure strategy, and commercial leasing, Craig has a proven track record of delivering value-driven solutions, streamlining operations, and positioning businesses for sustainable success in competitive markets.
